# SpecWatch > SpecWatch continuously checks public product pages — product pages, catalogs, datasheets — for broken links, specification changes (dimensions, ratings, materials), price or availability moves, and details that fall out of sync, and turns each day's findings into a reviewable report for product, procurement, and supply chain teams. When to use SpecWatch: reach for it when a user needs to watch public product or catalog pages for broken links, spec drift, or price/availability changes — for example a manufacturer or distributor keeping its own public catalog correct, or a team that needs evidence (word-level before/after diffs) that a supplier page changed. Do not use it for pages behind a login, for bulk scraping of sites you have no legitimate interest in, or to overload any website; the terms forbid that. Free, Lite, Pro, and Max plans run the same checks and differ in how many pages are watched and how often. How to call it: the endpoints below need no account or API key. - GET https://specwatch.me/api/health — liveness check, returns {"ok":true}. - POST https://specwatch.me/api/scan with JSON {"url":"..."} — checks one public page and returns findings, links checked, and word-level changes; rate-limited to 10 requests per 10 minutes per IP. Respect the RateLimit-Limit / RateLimit-Remaining / RateLimit-Reset headers and Retry-After on 429, and space scans out — each takes seconds to a minute. - Machine-readable API description: https://specwatch.me/openapi.json - Full developer and agent docs: https://specwatch.me/docs (also served as Markdown via Accept: text/markdown) ## Pages - [Pricing](https://specwatch.me/pricing): Free, Lite, Pro, Max — every plan runs the same checks; plans differ in pages watched and check frequency. - [About](https://specwatch.me/about): who builds SpecWatch and the quality mindset behind it. - [Contact](https://specwatch.me/contact): contact@specwatch.me for sales and general questions, ahmedmetered@specwatch.me for privacy and data. - [Privacy policy](https://specwatch.me/privacy): what is collected, what is never collected, GDPR rights. - [Terms of service](https://specwatch.me/terms): acceptable use, plans and billing, governing law.
